#6 Lament

I am a hollow man walking towards his end
And no light enters my vacant, dead gaze
I seek no refuge from the cold,
No food, no comfort

My body aches but my soul is still
There is nothing left to hurt me
I will finally be free
Once I cast myself into the abyss

Where I belong
Where I am nothing, and nothing is I
Where forever I fall, blank
No longer a shadow in this life
Cast aside and forgotten
Let the dust cover my remains
Let me fall down from this earth

And as I approach the great rift
Cold winds begin to blow,
From the depth of everything
The source of of all and none
A gaping smile torn in the ground
And I stare into it
Black eyes that stare right back
Black claws that sink and pull me to the abyss
Where I belong
Where I am nothing, and nothing is I
Where forever I fall, blank
No longer a shadow in this life
Cast aside and forgotten
Let the dust cover my remains
Let me fall down from this earth

I crave to walk where the shadows fall,
Where angels lie with blooded stumps for wings
A place forlorn, a palace fit for kings
A world where pain and pleasure are mere fantasy

I wish to kill the human side in me
To become the clockwork, ever pacing
To feel no pain

But I see a light emerging, from no sun or star above
A blaze from deep within, a sense of strength I’ve never known
From the bottom I see all from the bird’s sight, I open my third eye
To be none is to be all
I am a hollow man walking towards my end
And no light enters my vacant, dead gaze
I seek no refuge from the cold,
No food, no comfort

My body aches but my soul is still
There is nothing left to hurt me
I will finally be free
Once I cast myself into the abyss

Where I belong
Where I am nothing, and nothing is I
Where forever I fall, blank
No longer a shadow in this life
Cast aside and forgotten
Let the dust cover my remains
Let me fall down from this earth

And as I approach the great rift
Cold winds begin to blow,
From the depth of everything
The source of of all and none
A gaping smile torn in the ground
And I stare into it
Black eyes that stare right back
Black claws that sink and pull me to the abyss
Where I belong
Where I am nothing, and nothing is I
Where forever I fall, blank
No longer a shadow in this life
Cast aside and forgotten
Let the dust cover my remains
Let me fall down from this earth

I crave to walk where the shadows fall,
Where angels lie with blooded stumps for wings
